Wasly “Waz” Castillo

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised New York City, I’m an award-winning writer/director who brings a production designer’s eye and a storyteller’s heart to every frame. Before stepping behind the camera full-time, I helped shape worlds for brands and studios like Google, Uber Eats, Universal, and Netflix, experience that still shows up in my work through intentional detail, clean visual language, and a deep respect for craft.

My films live at the intersection of style and culture: bold, human, and built to connect. Whether I’m directing a spot or developing narrative work, I’m always chasing the same thing, images that inspire, characters that breathe, and stories that stay with you after the screen goes dark.
